What you get

Built for the service counter.

Make a report in under a minute, from the bay or the front desk.

Your note, your name

Every report shows your shop's name, your note in your own words, and a button to call you.

Know when they've looked

Sent reports shows which customers opened their report and when, so you know when to follow up.

Tech check sheet

For each car, a checklist of what owners of that model report most, with what to look at. For your tech, not the customer.

Scan the VIN

Point your phone at the VIN barcode on the door jamb, or pick the year, make and model.

Text from your phone

One tap opens a text with the link, sent from your own number. Customers don't need an app or an account.

Independent data

Grades come from NHTSA owner complaints. Shops can't pay to change them, which is what makes them believable.

How it works

From estimate to approval.

  1. 1

    Enter the car

Scan or type the VIN, or pick the year, make and model, then the miles. Add a note if you like.

  2. 2

    Text the link

Preview exactly what the customer sees, then send it from your phone with one tap, or copy the link.

  3. 3

    They see the pattern

Your customer sees what owners of their model commonly report and at what mileage, so your estimate isn't just your word.

Built on trust

It backs up your advice. It doesn't sell for you.

Customers believe it because it's careful about what it says.

Your customer sees

On every report

  • Recalls issued for their model year, and that recall work is free
  • Problems owners of that model report most
  • Where their car's miles fall for each one
  • What to watch for, in plain words
  • The A–F grade, on pre-purchase inspections only

What a report never does

So it stays credible

  • Claim to diagnose their specific car
  • Change a grade because a shop pays
  • Show the customer's name to anyone else
  • Need an app, an account or an email
Questions

Good questions before you sign up.

Where do the grades come from?

From the complaints owners file with NHTSA, the federal agency that tracks vehicle defects and runs recalls. We've sorted more than 800,000 of them by problem and compared each model year with other cars from the same year, adjusted for how many were sold.

Is the report a diagnosis?

No, and it says so. It shows what's common on that model year and at what mileage. Your inspection and your note tell the customer what's going on with their car. The report shows the pattern behind it.

How does texting work?

On your phone, "Text it" opens your messages app with the customer's number and the link filled in, and it sends from your own number. On a computer, copy the link and send it however you like. We don't charge for texts.

Will my customer see a letter grade?

Only on pre-purchase inspections, where someone is deciding whether to buy. For repairs and service, the customer already owns the car, so the report leaves out the A–F grade and focuses on recalls, what owners of that model report, and what to watch for.

Does my customer need anything?

No. The link opens a normal web page on any phone. No app, no account, no email.
